|Middle School Grades 6-8|
According to the National Directory for Catechesis, the fundamental task of Catechesis is the formation of disciples of Jesus Christ. “Jesus instructed his disciples; he prayed with them; he showed them how to live; and he gave them his mission… Faith must be celebrated, lived, and expressed in prayer.”
Religious Formation at St. Elizabeth Seton is designed based on this model of catechesis. Classes meet throughout the school year for children ages 3 through high school and follow th curriculum of the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana. Click here for more information on the curriculum.
St. Elizabeth Seton offers Seton Connect for 6th & 7th Grade. This youth group program includes large group presentation, small group discussions, and social time. Catechesis is based on the four pillars of the Catholic Church: Creed, Sacrament, Morality, and Prayer. There are three opportunities throughout the week:
Sunday 10:45-11:45 AM
At St. Elizabeth Seton, the 8th Grade meets separately from Seton Connect. The year will cover the Religious Education Curriculum for 8th Grade as well as Confirmation Prepration. For more information about Confirmation Preparation, click here.
